FOOT REFLEXOLOGY CERTIFICATION TRAINING

WHAT IS FOOT REFLEXOLOGY?

Foot Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on the feet, Reflexology serves to relax tension, improve circulation and promote the natural function of the related areas in the body.

 WHAT IS A TREATMENT LIKE?

Both client and Reflexologist must be positioned comfortably to ensure maximum relaxation. A Reflexologist will usually work on the bare feet, but if this is not possible, the treatment can be given on the hands or ears. Beginning with the right foot, all reflex points on both feet are stimulated as the body is considered as a whole system. The pressure applied varies with each person. Treatments last approximately 45-60 minutes.

 STEPS TO CERTIFICATION

Comprehensive training in the theory and practice of Reflexology is available from independent teachers who have been certified by the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC).  To become certified, you are required to complete a formal 35-hour course, a 15-hour home study workbook, 60 case studies, a 2-hour written exam, and a practical exam. The 60 case studies must be completed within one year from the start of the course. The written exam must be completed within 3 months following the last day of the course.
