We live
in a dynamic world where our
mental, social, and physical well-being is constantly being pulled in
many directions. The natural healings arts field is designed to provide
tools, insights, and strategies to keep us in a balanced state of
well-being where the mind-body-spirit is in harmony. The natural
healing arts field promotes a holistic approach based on the human
system’s inherent ability to maintain balance within
nature’s laws. What are nature’s laws? The physical
world provides feedback of its limitations on an ongoing basis
– natural law is about listening to this feedback when these
limitations are abused and finding ways for restoring natural balance
through self-healing techniques such as reflexology, yoga, and
self-knowledge.

IMBALANCES
Imbalance happens in our lives. It is the way we grow and learn about
ourselves and how we shape ourselves in the physical world. For
example, when we spend too much money, we are in debt. When we are in
debt, we worry. When we worry, we lose sleep. When we lose sleep, we
get tired and when we’re tired, we get run down which moves
us in the direction of poor health.
When we
don’t deal with
this feedback, we pay a price. That price is called “bad
stress” or tension in our minds, bodies, and spirits. This
bad stress throws us out of kilter creating more imbalances and we may
develop headaches, poor relationships, missed appointments, pains in
various parts of our body, or insomnia, for example. We have the choice
to attend or ignore this feedback. When ignored, the tension within
causes further disturbances. When tended to, we strive to restore,
rejuvenate, and heal ourselves getting back to a balanced state
– a state we call homeostasis.
EQUILIBRIUM – HOMEOSTASIS - BALANCE
We want balance in our life―balance in
our mental side, balance in our social side, and balance in our
physical side. If we can keep our mental side balanced, we are free
from worry, insomnia, and anxiety. When we keep our social side
balanced, we are free from frustration, anger, and irritability. When
we keep our physical side balanced, we are free from disease. When in a
balanced state of well-being, we are mentally calm, socially clear, and
physically well. All three sides of us are in balance and our life is
in a natural state of well-being. When our life gets thrown off kilter,
however, the following natural healing arts modalities can assist in
restoring balance.
REFLEXOLOGY - TREATMENTS &
TRAINING
Reflexology
is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes
in the hands, feet, and ears that correspond to every part, gland, and
organ in the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes,
circulation is improved, tension is relaxed, and the body can tend to
normalize. Reflexology Certification Trainings are available for those
wishing to become a professional Reflexologist. Reflexology services in
the stimulation of the hands, feet, and ears are available.
YOGA CLASSES
Yoga
postures and yogic breathing
provide a safe approach for integrating mind-body patterns and
generating a state of deep relaxation and well-being. Yoga recognizes
the body as an organism that is part of the cosmos and not separate
from it. Using an energy system called Chakras, yoga stimulates and
balances the system within. Regular classes are held weekly and are
geared toward the beginner to intermediate level. Please ask about
